In May and July 2010 I had the chance to visit Paris in France and during my stay I had the opportunity to see a few fig trees at Le marché aux fleurs (the flower market in English). I have to say, this was one of my favourites places in Paris. It is located on l'Ile de la Cité at the place Louis-Lépine. It is open everyday from 8 :00AM until 07:00PM. On Sundays the market is closed since the birds market takes place on that day.

This is the place to go if you want see some interesting exotic plants sold in Paris. In addition, some of the stands have different fig trees on display. If you look around you can find such varieties as Ronde de Bordeaux and others. However, some fig trees are sold as unknown. Some olive trees and different types of citrus trees are also sold. Obviously, since you are in Paris in the "city of lovers" you can also get there a nice flower bouquet for your special one.

If you cross the Pont au Change and turn left on Quai de la Mégisserie you can also find other stores selling fig trees. You should keep in mind that if you arrive in the middle of winter there might not be any fig trees on display.
